Abstract : The study deals with the aesthetics of poetry discourse when Mohammad Hassan Awad in relation to literary communication theory from a holistic perspective. This provides an integrated account for aesthetics, which goes beyond the language of the text to the discourse of connected elements in the Saudi Arabian poet Mohammed Hassan Awad. While the aesthetics of a text is achieved through the integration of its elements (phonetic, lexical, syntactic and figurative), the aesthetics of a discourse is realized through the incorporation of its elements as well. The author is the creator of aesthetics, the text is the aesthetic message, and the receiver is the one affected by this aesthetics. Aesthetic aspects of discourse are broader and more comprehensive in their vision than the specific details of the text. Yet, both affect each other, and the result of both is a creative, aesthetic text. The poetic text is a product of the poet's social, psychological, religious, cultural and civilizational perspective. The structure of the text is a result of the interaction between the poetic text and previous, accompanying and subsequent texts. The response is the outcome of the interaction of the reader with the poetic text under the influence of the means of communication, the strategy of reading and the other resulting creative and aesthetic texts. This view informs the current study of literary communication theory, which adopts the interpretative method characterized by a comprehensive perspective and analysis. It does not confine itself to the text, but extends to the creator and receiver. Thus, it meets and corresponds with the discourse of both. The mechanisms of analysis are presented in five chapters : the formative view of the author - text and textual characteristic - means of communication - the receiver and reading strategy – and response. The most important result of the study is that aesthetics in the poetic discourse of Awad is based on the dynamic dialectical relationship created through the interaction, communication, and mutual influence of the basic elements of the process of creativity and the resulting creative aesthetic texts at every stage.
