Abstract : The current research seeks to study the effects of different woven fabrics on some draping on the Dress stand techniques, and identify appropriate woven fabric for Twist, drape, and Pleats techniques when it is draped on the Dress stand Using the experimental method through sample implementation of those techniques using three types of woven fabrics with a special nature and the different characteristics. The researcher’s evaluation questionnaire has been prepared to evaluate the samples using Kruskal walis and Friedman tests and the results were as follows: 1. To form the twist and the drape techniques any of the woven fabrics (Chiffon, Taffeta, and Velvet) can be used because it gives the desired effect of the composition, it’s preferred to use Chiffon, Taffeta, and Velvet respectively when the technique’s difficulty increases. While in the pleats technique appropriate woven fabrics must be selected to form. 2. The impact of morphological characteristics of woven fabrics in the formation of the Twist technique is in the favor of Chiffon, Taffeta, and Velvet respectively. 3. The impact of morphological characteristics of woven fabrics in the formation of the drape technique is in the favor of Chiffon, Taffeta, and Velvet respectively. 4. The impact of morphological characteristics of woven fabrics in the formation of the Pleats technique is in the favor of Taffeta, Velvet, and Chiffon respectively. The researcher recommends that to take advantage of the current research’s results when the teaching Draping on the Dress stand subject with further Studies of other Draping on the Dress stand techniques. And examine the impact of different morphological characteristics woven fabrics on Draping on the Dress stand techniques. Positioning Draping on the Dress stand subject in advance level to master degree fashion design and draping on the Dress stand students to develop their skills. Train the students to use different woven fabrics to develop their sense of fabric characteristics and its impact on draping and increase the number of its hours. Providing Central Library with more Arab and foreign books and references of draping on the Dress stand different techniques, and Connect the Information Services Center in the Central Library with relevant information databases in home economics generally, and clothing and textiles in particular
