Reference is made to the factors which help in the development of the scholarly life in Madinah, such as the care given by Caliphs, governors and prominent persons to scholars and the paying out of their expenses to make it easy for them to publish their works. The study also addresses the scholars' characteristics, ethics and patience for the sake of acquiring knowledge and their academic journeys.
