The research discusses (the role of the Total Quality Manager in achieving Total Quality Management Principles in some Saudi Service organizations. Inamely, Saudi Arabian airlines - King Saud University - The Ministry of Health - Saudi Geological Survey - Institution of Public Administration - Water Conversion Corporation - University Hospital, King Abdul-Aziz.
The research has two aspects affecting the quality system: Total Quality Manager, and the principles of total quality management.
* The researcher focuses on the following questions:
1 - How clearly, knowledge and familiarity of the Total Quality Manager with the Total Quality Management Principles and his ability to apply them in the his organizations:
2 - To What degree Total Quality Management Principles were applied in the departments of quality.
*The study aims to:
1 - identify the extent of the application of the principles of quality management in the departments of quality from the point of view of the overall quality managers departments.
2 - Identifying the role of the Total Quality Manager inapplying the following principles: senior management support, the principle of continuous quality improvement, focusing on the customer, focusing on the principle of workers or employees, and measurement and analysis.
3 - Identifying the principles affecting the application of total quality management in organizations of the study from the standpoint of quality managers departments.
4- Identifying the obstacles facing Total Quality Manager in the application of total quality management.
5 - Provide interested and engaged in the departments of quality with the total quality management principles applied in the quality departments to work on the promotion and development.
The research method includes aspects of exploratory and descriptive sides exploratory based on the availability of poll principles of TQM, which is a fundamental aspect of the requirements for successful application of TQM style. The analytical method is based on the description of the problem of research linking the principles of total quality management and the role of the Total Quality Manager in achieving them. With the analysis and clarification of the direction and strength of the relationships between the independent and dependent variables.
The researcher will prepare a list of the questionnaire consists of three parts, Part I: general data on workers in the Quality Management, Part II: consists of a series of phrases that measures the role of the Total Quality Manager in the application of the principles of TQM; five pre-defined. Part III: consists of a question to the managers departments of the TQM about the TQM principles applied in their departments and to determine the degree of application on a scale of five levels ranging from 1 to 5 in level (1) do not apply at all and level (5) applies very much.
*Main results: There is a statistically significant link between the role of the Total Quality Manager and the application of the principle of senior management support, the principle of continuous quality improvement, the principle of focusing on the customer, focusing on the principle of workers or employees, the principle of measurement and analysis.
The research shows weakness in the job description for staff and workers in total quality management and when questioned on the functional specialization. Lack of information and training. The ones lead TQM are older and more experienced.
Research indicated that the most principles applied in organizations in the study is the principle of analysis and measurement and then focusing on the customer, then the principle of focusing on the workers, then the principle of continuous improvement, and support .Finally; the principle of senior management. |
