Abstract : This research aims to identify effective teaching strategy proposed for the development of the values contained in the home economics curriculum and cognitive Achievement in the sixth grade of primary girls school, using a descriptive approach and quasi-experimental approach to design in a test group, on a sample of sixth grade pupils of a primary school in Makkah. The research tools are represented in the scale of values and the test of the cognitive achievement of the sixth grade of girls primary school . As regards and the research material, it was a list the values contained in the home economics curriculum and a guide for the teacher to prepare the lessons include in the proposed strategy. Research results proved the existence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance ≤ 05, 0 degrees average of school girls between the experimental and standard groups in the application of the dimensional scale of values and the test grades for the benefit of the experimental group. The most important research recommendations: Organization of the content of the home economics, taking into account the content of values provided to the student, set a concrete plan for the subjects allocated to each classroom, and that does not leave the selection of subjects based on the selection of the teacher and educational supervisor, and the need to adopt methods of measuring the development of values , and the identification of an integrated plan for the process of measurement and evaluation for the development of values, and that the pupil evaluation card shall contain items that assess the pupil and the need to take the necessary measures to address any problem of value in the behavior of the schoolgirls by the specialists in the Ministry of Education.
