Abstract : This research has aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a training program based on strategies of developing innovative thinking in the performance of sixth grade teachers; and in developing innovative thinking skills for sixth grade female students. The researcher used the semi empirical design relying on pre and post testing techniques to achieve this objective and to verify these hypotheses. The respondents were 19 of elementary school home economics female teachers, and 494 sixth grade female students, from 19 classes (i.e. one class for each teacher). Furthermore, the research tools applied on the respondents in the pretesting phase included: a Teacher’s Performance Observation Card and a Cognitive Achievement Test for teachers. Next, the training program was introduced. As for students: a cognitive achievement test and innovative thinking test with the use of pictures and words in the pretesting phase; then, the training program was presented. However, the same research tools were used on the respondents in the post-testing phase. After concluding the study experience, gathering and analyzing data using proper statistical methods, the following findings are drawn: 1. There were differences at significance of level (0.05) between the average score of home economics female teachers in the TPOC in the pre-application phase, and its average score in the post application phase, in favor of the post application of TPOC. 2. There is a difference at significance of level (0.05) between the average score of home economics female teachers in the CAT in the pre-testing phase. This difference is considered in favor of the pre and post application of CAT in the selected strategies. 3. There is a difference with significance of level (0.05) between the average score of the sixth grade female students in the pre and post application of the CAT. 4. Despite that there are no significance of levels (0.05) in the average scores of the sixth grade female students in the innovative thinking test with the use of pictures in fluency, flexibility, originality and details and their total score both in the pre and post application, in favor of the post application of it, therefore, the study hypothesis is accepted with (partial rejection in the fluency content in favor of the post application of the test). 5. There are no significance levels of (0.05) in the average scores of the sixth grade female students in the Innovative Thinking Test with the use of words in fluency , flexibility and originality and their total in the pre and post application which is in favor the later. 1. There are statistically linked significances of level (o.o5) between the post achievement and the post teaching performance for the female teachers; moreover, the post achievement in home economics, and in innovative thinking with the use of pictures and words for their students.
