Abstract : The broad aim of this study is identifying factors that influence the selection of cost systems in the Saudi manufacturing companies. Besides, knowing the extent the application of the cost systems impacts the performance of Saudi manufacturing companies. Along with that, identifying the extent of companies interested in implementing particular cost systems, as well as, identifying the extent of applying the traditional and the modern cost systems by manufacturing companies. To achieve the study objectives the descriptive approach has been applied in the theoretical part, along with that the analytical approach has been applied. Therefore. The study found that there is a relationship between the extent of application of cost systems in Saudi manufacturing companies and the cost system applied. Besides, the study finding indicates that the selection of particular cost systems in Saudi manufacturing companies is determined depends on several internal factors in the company, as well as, several external factors surrounding it. The researcher recommends opening up to global markets and knowing its new. Along with that, improve the working conditions by providing comfort environment for workers. The researcher recommended more studies represented in the search for: 1- The obstacles in applying the cost system in manufacturing companies. The effect of the external environment on choosing the cost system in manufacturing companies
