Abstract : The study aimed to prepare a proposal for the values that can be included in the Textbook of “Life Skills and Family Education” for High School in consistent with the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030. This is after appraisal of the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030 Document and the mentioned textbook then compare and contrast them. The study adopted the "Descriptive and Analytical" Approach as it is the most suitable approach for the study nature. The study community was all the units of “Life Skills and Family Education” Textbook for the secondary schools’ female/male students of the year (2018/2019); which is a single textbook of the secondary school following the course system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher prepared a list of the values included in the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030 which have been used as a tool to analyze the content of “Life Skills and Family Education” textbook for the year (2018/2019). The study revealed the existence of differences among the values included in the Vision 2030 and the values included in the study community as the number of values included in the Vision was (69) while the ones included in the textbook were (44). This led the researcher based on specific criteria to choose the most important values to be included in the textbook according the Saudi Vision 2030; the values were related to Environment, Social, National, Religious and Moral, Personal and Psychological, and Economical fields. The study results also concluded the existence of differences in the relative importance of the values fields included in both the Vision and the mentioned textbook. In the Vision 2030, the fields of “Social”, “Religious and Moral”, “Personal and Psychological” occupied the first three successive classes, whereas in the textbook the first three successive classes were occupied by the “Religious and Moral”, “Personal and Psychological”, and “Social” fields. The researcher recommended the modification of the content of “Life Skills and Family Education” Textbook guided by the "Proposal" presented by the current study to add the values included in the Vision and not mentioned in the textbook heading to promote the Saudi community and achieve the Saudi Arabian's Vision 2030 objectives. Also, the study recommended the need of achieving the balance in distributing the values among the textbook during the next seasons of curriculum development programs led by the specialists in the Ministry of Education.
