Abstract : The extent of enhancing Saudi housewives family life experiences when using You Tube By Sarah Al harthi Supervised By Enas Sorour Abstract The study aimed at revealing the awareness of the Saudi housewife about her family needs when searching on YouTube, the nature of enriching the experience of the housewife through YouTube, by identifying the areas of family life that the housewives need to search when using the YouTube, and knowing the degree of enriching the experiences of the housewife in the areas of family life when using YouTube. The study focused on the areas of family life agreed upon by the experts and specialists in the family sciences, and are represented in food and nutrition, clothing and textiles, housing, tools, equipment and furniture, childhood and family relations, in addition to the managing of economics and resources of individual and family. The study was implemented on a sample of (203) housewives from Jeddah, using the methods of the intentional sample and the snowball sample. Of the results is that the level of need for research on YouTube about the areas of family life is generally medium, a great need to the field of food health, and a weak need for the field of clothes tasting. There was a poor need for topics, despite the fact that they are associated with the actual problems in families, while the housewife was not aware to search for them on YouTube. The housewife also confirmed that they have undergone moderate changes in the areas of family life after watching You Tube however, the housewife rarely practiced the denotations of gaining experience when watching topics related to family life on YouTube. The researcher recommends for studies to reveal the reasons of the limited practices by housewives of the denotations to enrich the experience through YouTube.
