Abstract : Universities should play a major role in preparing students with the needed knowledge and skills in order for them to be able to understand and deal with life challenges. This study shows that there is a need for different life skills for students at King Abdul Aziz University. This study includes the results from a conducted survey and several field visits that showcase the potential contribution of a number of student activities offered at the university in the development of certain skills. This research will show the role of these students’ activities in developing students’ life skills from the students’ perspectives. The researcher followed the descriptive method survey using a questionnaire, as a tool of research to answer research questions. It was conducted on a stratified random sample (486 students) from the students of King Abdul Aziz University Female Section in the Sulaymaniyah who has attended at least one activity. Data was analyzed using a software (SPSS) according to a number of statistical techniques such as averages, standard deviations, and others. That research shows that the most needed life skills are as follows: First, memory Activation skill for Science, Engineering, and Computer students. Second, the skill of applying the principles of first aid among Arts & Humanities students. Third, The skill of time management among students of Home Economics. Forth, the skill of applying healthy nutritional habits among students of Communication and Media. The researcher recommends reevaluating the current students’ activities and how they contribute to their life and suggests coming up with new activities that meet their needs.
