Supported Materials are one of ores that helping in draping that have been used throughout history, used by designers for their importance and role in showing the aesthetics of design and highlight the desired shape; they are an inexhaustible source of the designer to show his creations . The research aims is studying some of Supported Material properties .In addition, study the impact of Supported Materials on various fabrics draping on the mannequin. The research confined limits of Supported Material (wire, Boning, foam) And on the fabric (Taffeta, Organza, lace) are available in the market in Jeddah. The research adopted the experimental method through laboratory tests to study the fabrics properties used in the research as the researcher doing three tests, the first is wire and the second is Boning and third is Foam and its impact on the three fabrics. The Supported Material have been identified essential variable and the fabrics as the dependent variable of the three experiments. Research tools consisted of a measure estimating the first experience of the wire, and the measure estimate for the second experience Boning and scale assessment of the third experience of the foam. Where it was at the beginning of the experiment studying of fabrics properties under study and select one design to be executed for each Supported Material on the three fabrics and the results were higher than Organza , Taffeta and lace for the wire and Boning, while lace showed the first rank in the foam. The results also showed the influence of the Supported Materials properties on the draping process on the mannequin so the designer must study the properties of materials before draping it as it play this role in the properties of the formation process. The researcher recommended to work on studies of other Supported Materials and measure their impact on the fabric, and the study of Supported Materials as a source of inspiration for the work of three-dimensional designs as future researches. Draping on Supported Materials because of its important role in the show the aesthetics of the design as part of draping approach on the mannequin.
