Abstract : This study aimed to identify the relationship of administrative practices of employees' affairs department (recruitment, salaries, training, incentives, promotion, and performance appraisal) to job commitment at King Abdulaziz University (KAU). The study is based on descriptive analytical approach, its comprises into two main parts: The first one is the practical part that presented the most important information from different studies and resources, the second part is based on questionnaire to collect data. The questionnaire sheet included (47) items. The study population consisted of female administrative employees at KAU in Jeddah (main campus) and its size was (1142) employees, the study sample included (217) administrative employees, simple randomly chosen. The questionnaire was electronically distributed among the study sample. The (SPSS) program was employed to analyze data obtained from the employees, through various statistical methods. The results showed that: the female administrative employees at KAU perceived the administrative practices of employees affairs department (recruitment, salaries, training and promotion) at KAU applied with a moderate degree, while (incentives and performance appraisal) applied with a high degree, It also explored that job commitment of female administrative employees is high. And, it is demonstrated that there is a relationship between the management practices of employees' affairs department (recruitment, salaries, training, incentives, promotion, performance appraisal) and job commitment. In addition, no relationship was found between demographic changes (age, years of experience, and salaries) and job commitment. However, there is a relationship between the scientific degree and job commitment. The study is recommended that; improve employment procedures and policies, adapting salaries to life necessities, giving more importance to training programs and to achieve justice in the training opportunities, clarify the promotion standards in order to easy understanding of the promotion procedure, keep attention to incentives especially the financial one, and appraise the performance periodically.
