The present study intended to investigate the effect of BL model utilizing Learning Management System, Blackboard® on enhancing EFL students' performance and satisfaction in Saudi Arabia at English Language Institute at King Abdulaziz University. It found the effectiveness of utilizing the supplementary materials on Blackboard® in leading up to EFL students’ satisfaction and enhancing their performance in comparison to the control group. Since, BL model could stimulate a classroom setting with activities that are carried out under flexible and engaging manner. The sample consisted of 98 students from proficiency level 104, and they were divided into experimental group and control group. The data of the study was collected using questionnaire to identify students' level of satisfaction, and a posttest to evaluate the students’ performance after being exposed to supplementary materials in BL. The results revealed that students' satisfaction was significantly noticed as their positive responses' outweighed their negative responses' mainly in terms of richness of learning resources, opportunity to interact in foreign language, appropriateness and variety of content, and ease of using Blackboard®. There are statistically significant differences at the (0.05) level between the performance of the students' in experimental group and students in control group. Based on the results, the study recommends considering the gains and challenges to plan the future of both teaching and learning English language parameters effectively at the ELI. Along with that, the study suggests several issues to be investigated in the future such as examining the motivational behavior of both the teachers and the students and finding out the factors that will affect the environment of BL in EFL. In addition, it was suggested to evaluate the Blackboard® as LMS, qualitatively or quantitatively investigate the students' engagement in BL and to examine the use of BL mode for teaching certain skills of English as a foreign language.
