This dissertation is presented for the completion of a Master degree in Arabic Language and Arts, speciality Grammar and conjugation. It is a review and study of the last book in Grammar of a 7th century Hijri grammarian, El Isfandari. This dissertation is divided into two main parts preceded by an introduction and followed by a technical appendix. It has been mentioned in the introduction of this dissertation the main reason of the choice for this research, its scientific merit and importance. The first part includes the study itself and comprises a brief introduction and two chapters. The brief introduction concerns the author’s era and his environment. In the first chapter, we devoted it to the author’s biography including his origins, birth, life, students, publications and scientific rank, and his death. In the second chapter, we included his methodology and style in presenting his work in the field and stand points which were in agreement to the scholars of that period, particularly to those of Basra and Kufa schools or even his unique views compared to the other grammarians. We also explained the importance and value of this book. As far as the second part is concerned, we presented the reviewed text according to the scientific analysis and assessment and among the most important conclusions, we came with, is that this book is considered as an explanation of the conjugations of El Zamakhchari who is one of the greatest scholars in Arabic Grammar and this work will enrich the library and Grammar. |
